Radical Midwives of America Welcome to the Radical Midwives of America discussion list. It was founded in honor of the Association of Radical Midwives of the UK founded in 1979. This list is going to be a place where midwives can speak freely about the importance of Natural Childbirth. The RMA acknowledges loss to our society with the increased medical intervention of Midwifery and Childbirth. It is a protective space where we can challenge the medical model of birth and its consequences to mother and baby. This list is to explore and share evidenced based medicine and midwifery, as well as to share everyday midwifery

An electronic bulletin board is an old form of internet communication being phased out in favor of web pages. One still exists, however, for midwifery. It is a system of communicating by posting notices electronically at a central point where everyone who has access to the BBS can read them and is a fairly secure way to communicate via the web. Reach the BBS at:
www.fensende.com/cgi-bin/ubb/Ultimate.cgi. ****************************************************
