  • The Farm Midwifery Center is now offering a Midwife's Assistant Program. We offer a series of three workshops; Level I, Level II, and Level III. They are designed to teach you how to become a midwife's assistant and to give you a solid skills foundation on your path to becoming a midwife. We are committed to teaching midwifery within a spiritual context and creating a supportive sisterhood.

  • THE FARM _ Whether you are expecting a baby or not, Spiritual Midwifery by Ina May Gaskin is a must read. It is a beautiful collection of birth tales and an insightful look at the most successful attempt at communal living. While I may not fully agree with all of their practices, in particular multi-partner marriages, I do very much agree with their promotion of birth as a natural process.
